About Your Bill

Woodbury County REC reads the meters the last day of the current month. Bills are then calculated, printed and mailed between the 1st and the 7th of the following month. Bills are deemed delivered when delivered to the U.S. Post Office with postage. If for any reason you do not receive a bill, please give the office a call 1-800-469-3125 or 712-873-3125 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bills are due when mailed and become past due when payment is not in the office by the due date printed on the bill.

On the 1st, a late charge is applied and a reminder is printed on the current bill along with the date that arrangements or payment needs to be made for the past due amount.

If the account remains unpaid, a collection trip charge at the cost of $50.00, is made to hang a tag warning of disconnect for non-pay in 24 hours

Pay at Our Office

Bring your payment to the office at 1495 Humbolt Ave., Moville, IA 51039.

The office is open from 7:30 to 4:00 Monday through Friday.

Before or after hours, please drop your payment in the slot of the

front door.

Electronic Check

Call our office to pay by electronic check. You will need to know your bank's routing number and your checking account number. Funds will be taken out of your account within 24 hours. Your information is not stored so you will need your routing number and checking account number each time you choose to call and pay by electronic check.

Your bank's routing number
Your checking account number

Budget Billing

Woodbury County REC offers Budget Billing for members wishing to pay a set amount on their electric account each month. Living in Iowa we know that the unpredictable weather can cause some serious fluctuations in your monthly energy consumption. WCREC is able to give members the piece of mind of knowing what they will be paying each month to keep budgets on track.

To subscribe to Budget Billing, simply call the office to find out what your average monthly bill is, and what other requirements are necessary. If you agree to pay the estimated amount, you will be asked to sign a form stating so.

U.S Postal Services Payments

Mail your payment in the preaddressed envelope that comes with your monthly bill. Remember to mail your payment with enough time to reach the Woodbury County REC office before the due date to avoid late charges.

Automatic Bank Draft

Automatic Bank Drafts will pay your utility bill by automatic electronic funds transfer. You will still receive a monthly bill so you will know the amount of the transfer. The transfers are initiated on the due date.

PAY NOW - powered by SmartHub

PAY NOW via website provides a convenient and streamlined way to pay your electric bill online. Not all functionality of SmartHub is available, but it does offer an easy and quick method of paying your electric bill online. Enter your account number and name only. No registration or password is required. PAY NOW allows members to pay bills 24/7.
