Scholarships
$2,500 In Scholarships To Be Awarded
Basin Electric Power Cooperative of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Woodbury County REC in Moville, jointly announce a Scholarship program for 2008. Basin Electric will award one - $1,000 scholarship and Woodbury County REC will award three - $500 scholarships.
Who is Eligible To Receive The Scholarships?
1. Either the applicant, or the applicant's parent or guardian, must be a member of Woodbury County REC and receiving electric service from the REC at this time. Children of members of the REC Board or children of Woodbury County REC employees are not eligible.
2. The applicant must be a student who will be enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate course of study at an accredited college, university or vocational/technical school in the fall of 2008.
3. All scholarships will be awarded without regard to other awards, loans or financial assistance the applicant may have obtained.
4. The applicant must be a United States citizen.
5. Past Basin Electric or Woodbury County REC scholarship winners are not eligible.
How to Apply?
Call the Woodbury County REC office at 800-469-3125 or 712-873-3125 to request an application and complete rules will be mailed to you. Applications may also be picked up at the REC office in Moville. The Application and rules may also be printed off your computer. Please click APPLICATION.
The completed application, and all required information, must be returned to the Woodbury County REC office on or before Friday, February 8, 2008. Applications sent by mail which are received after the February 8th deadline will NOT be accepted, regardless of the postmarked date.
